It records the applicant's account and connects current symptoms to the abuse, objectively and independently, so the findings stand on their own.

Depending on the complexity of the case, we may hold multiple interviews with the applicant. During these interviews, our psychologists assess the applicant’s personal history, the history of domestic violence they experienced, and the effects it continues to have today. Our psychologists will also evaluate any emotional impact, including symptoms of post-traumatic disorder, anxiety, depression, or other related psychological conditions.
